Eh akala ko it was only due to the safety guard bond when the new d-max came out last march. Pero hoping na meron din here para mas interesting as prospect.
Anyway, mukang sa high-end variants lang standard ang paddle shifters. Sayang they didn't make it across the a/t range.

August 14th, 2021 10:04 PM #153Unconfirmed specs:
LS 1.9 4x2 A/T (1.59M)
Electronic Parking Brake
10.1 touchscreen with Apple Carplay and Android Auto
LED Lighting (Front and Rear)
Black & gunmetal grille
Black sidemirrors
17" wheels
LS-A 1.9 4x2 M/T (1.77M) 3.0 4x2 A/T (1.9M) adds
Blind Spot Warning
Rear Cross Traffic Alert
Foglights
Reverse Camera
4-eye rear parking sensors
Dual zone Climate Control
Silver & chrome grille
Body-colored sidemirrors
18" wheels
LS-E 3.0 4x2 A.T (2.1M) adds
ADAS package
Power Tailgate
Rain-sensing wipers
7 airbags
Remote Engine Start
8-speaker system
Leather interior
20" wheels
LS-E 3.0 4x4 A/T (2.45M) adds Rough Terrain Mode.
Its looking like the base LS-A is bare bones except for the EPB and LED lights. No camera and sensors to be found.
LS-A fabric seats and manual lift tailgate for 1.9M offers the least value of the range. Gets blind spot monitor and RCW but no side or curtain airbags.
LS-E 4x2 looks fully loaded for 2.1M but the lack of a 360 camera is a turn-off since Montero GLS/GT, Fortuner V/Q, Terra VL all have it for less.
Unless they discount the whole range heavily, I can't see it moving significant volume. Can't rely on brand equity alone, even Toyota understands this now.

August 14th, 2021 10:26 PM #155Possible the 4x4 LS-E does not equipped with a rear diff lock. Again it's a turnoff to the 4x4 buyers since its peers like the Everest Titanium, Montero GT, Fortuner LTD, Terra VL has it all standard on their 4x4 variants.
Let's wait for the official specs and options list for the upcoming MUX. Sana again this is not stripped out like the DMAX.

Ala montero gls yung specs ng ls-a. Parehas 2wd, walang side airbags tas hindi leather seats sa loob. Yung a/c controls niya mostly knob type rin. Iniisip ko baka black din loob neto, hindi orange or brown which is better in some ways. Yung paddle shifters for ls-e nalang talaga yan haha.

August 15th, 2021 04:21 PM #159Possible the stability/traction control is standard in the base MUX.
LED in the lower end variants are good buy compared to other entry/mid level competitors..

August 15th, 2021 07:04 PM #160Supposedly there's also "Active Safety Features" on the 1.9 LS. Didn't explicitly mention what exactly but sounds like ABS and/or ESC.
