do these vehicles mentioned for comparison, have timing chain, timing belt, or timing gears?

mitsu - 2 belt & sprockets
toyota - chain & sprockets
isuzu - combi of chain and gears. chain drive from fuel (cr) pump to camshaft. the rest are gears

Hi mga sirs interested MUX buyer din po ako pero next year pa. Di ba mahirap maghanap ng parts ng MUX especially mga replacement parts na and how is the service ng CASA pagdating sa Periodic Maintenance? Saan po maayos na dealership ng Isuzu, Gencars ba or dun sa Ayala Group?

Old thought na tahimik belt and maingay si chain/gear for valvetrains.
Almost all new model gas engines ay chain drive na, super tahimik pa rin naman nila di ba?

#1 factor ngaun is fuel injector spray pattern and timing, fuel rail pressure and timing, latest fuel system as a whole(kasama na dito egr, vgt, butterfly valve timing.) Kaya lahat ng All new SUVs tahimik na since they all run the latest CRDI system, much refined and more environment friendly(euro 4.)

An ordinary Joe would see it as super tahimik ng makina kala mo gas engine + euro 4 marked on the owners manual.

I understand 2017 mux is still euro 3 like the prev gen monty, fort and everest.

well, the sentra engine is chain and not belt, but the engine is one of the quietest around...
but isn't the characteristic diesel engine noise not from the engine, but from the fuel injector pump?

The 4J series is over a decade old already as far as I know. Sila nauna gumamit ng 3rd generation CRDi sysyem. Let's see how the new 1.9 RZ4E engine fares.

Wala pa chance these few months... minor facelift ang ilalabas 2017.

2019 or 2020 ang next gen by then baka ilabas nila 1.9D
