    Hyundai Hideaway(TM) third-row seat, a simple-to-use 50/50 split
fold-into-the-floor seat, offering flexibility for up to seven passengers.
Equipped with a standard 3.8-liter V6 engine and six-speed automatic
transmission, Veracruz will offer an unprecedented combination of styling,
safety, comfort and convenience including available all-wheel drive,
standard Electronic Stability Control (ESC), standard side-airbags, as well
as side-curtain airbags for all three rows of passengers.
Veracruz will compete primarily with upper midsize crossovers including

actually it competes with more upscale SUVs namely Lexus RX350, Honda Pilot, Subaru B9 Tribeca, Nissan Murano etc.

so, its definitely not in the league of the Kia Sorento.

I think reason for the Tucson, Sta. Fe & Mesa names e dahil sa California ang design center ng hyundai.... and of course they use popular "cali" names i believe they think sounds upscale....

Yeah. But Tucson is in Arizona and where I live. Santa Fe is in New Mexico, and Mesa..... mesas are found mostly in New Mexico as well.

They're all in the US southwest which normally denotes "rugged country". Of course, times have changed. As you can see, I own a 2006 Hyundai Sonata. No need to go off-road for me.

he he.. I got confused on what the other guy said about california names. good thing you noted that. And right, its for the ruggged part of the US they used city names.. that has rugged areas around. quite fitting. But with regards to names ok din hyundai. I know most designs are US based. cool nga is they use the same name for the car whether US, Europe or Asian release. Not like the toyota's one name in US, another in asia, so as europe. then slight differences pa on the car.
