December 14th, 2009 09:19 PM #1991sir here's my odo reading / fuel consumption.
status: half day city driving, moderate traffic, average of 10-50 km/h, below 2k rpm, 60 kilometers ang natakbo...

December 14th, 2009 09:37 PM #1992hmmm 5-6km/l lang? the tank is 55litres right? if we take the current gas price of around P40, that gives us a full tank of P2,200, which is not bad.... but not liking the 5-6km/l figure, hmmmm...

December 15th, 2009 12:00 AM #1995best way to compute FC:
1) fill up tank (automatic stop)
2) reset trip meter
3) drive until half or until almost empty fuel
4) refill at the same gas station, preferably the same pump site, and then fill up tank (again automatic stop)
5) compute : trip meter (km) / fuel (liters)

I expect FC will improve in the coming days.

i was also referring to the break-in period of the Mazda CX-7. Also 5-6 km/L din.

travelled half day from: Malabon to NLEX to Plaridel then Baliuag town. From Baliuag Town to San Fernando Pampanga Back to Malabon.
Odometer reading - total of 483km. (30% city driving, 70% hiway)
Traffic condition: moderate in Bulacan area and Malabon
on board f/c reading: 10.5 L/100km = 9.52km/L
actual f/c (full tank sagad) = 483km at 51.74 L = 9.33km/L
