How about making a small cardboard sign "SF" instead of "reserved" like we see on restaurants placed on the tables for those who are sure to arrive early.

I just had a long chat with the service department of Hyundai E.Rod regarding development of moisture in headlights.
According to him, since the lens is made of plastic, the transfer of heat from the bulb combined with cold water from the rain can possibly form condensation, moisture sa headlights. He also stated that it happens not only to SF cars, but to all existing cars with the same design, materials used in modern cars in the market today. The important factor to observe when this moisture occurs is how long it takes for it to disappear. A few minutes is normal. He told me a case wherein a VC driven at night from pangasinan to manila encountered heavy rains along the way also developed moisture on the headlights. On the next day, moisture was still present on the right side. Brought it to the dealer, ascertained the faulty part, evidence was clear, replaced the lights instantly because parts were available at that time.
Regarding warranty claims, it's really the dealer who deals with HARI as sop. The dealer files a report to HARI, when parts arrive, dealer shoulders the costs, charge it to HARI, then HARi claims it from Korea.
It may be prudent to take pictures when moisture occurs in your rides that does not disappear quickly. My suggestion would be to simulate a similar condition by aiming your garden hose at your lights on for 30 mins.
P.S. Hyundai E.Rod Service Dept. 416-3835/36 look for Rannie. (Dont't take my word for it, call him if you have more questions)
With a VC also having an instance of the same problem we can start to deduce that somewhere in the design there is a technical flaw. Call it material problem or whatever but it is starting to emerge as a headache common to new HYUNDAI SUV's. For an SUV that costs million of pesos they'd better look for good materials aside from plastic or consumers start to lose faith in them.

Gaya ng sinabi ko dati na ni-reserba ko lang kung kailan ko gugustuhin makigpag ayusan ng HARI directly is a calculated risk on my part. Now you said SOP -Standart Operating Prodecure. And talking about procedure, they deviced it that way so that things would be orderly and smooth. Procedures are supposed to make things go faster and in a very efficient manner. You make shortcuts(like talking to HARI directly) make things go haywire and clearly breaking the rules of procedures as what you say -SOP. This is how professionalism was meant to be kung meron man sila nu'n.

I would still sustain that when my dealer explicitly told me they already have done the procedurals from their side and no approval yet from HARI, I am more inclined to believe my dealer and that HARI is just sitting on my warranty claim for more than a month now. So the big question is sino kaya ngayon ang inefficient sa dalawa?

Hello po godwhacker. I agree that there is a flaw in the design based on some units. Like I've said, according to the personnel I talked to, it's a common thing to develop moisture in headlights on plastic housing. But then again, almost all car headlights nowadays are made of plastic. Do you agree? So, the possibility of it occurring in other car makes is also possible. Hence, they must be defective too. Although the VC headlights indicated in the said case was replaced immediately must be the result of better dealer after market service. Implying that Hyundai SUV to be of lower quality compared to other SUV is your opinion regarding this issue on the headlights. If you would try to read the other threads concerning on the supposed problems encountered on other more popular SUV's , you would certainly find out for yourself that comparing the moisture problem with fuel pumps, electrical, etc are far major concerns. My take on contacting HARI as well as some in this forum for your problem to be resolved faster is not w/o merits. As you've said, it's in your discretion so I respect that. To again reiterate, no vehicle of any brand is perfect. For sure, I don't think my unit is either. It's one's right to air their grievances as a consumer. In as much as I sympathize with your unfortunate problem. If I may speak for everyone else, we're just trying to be more positive and give our dealers and Hyundai the benefit of the doubt. If only there is a way for me to help you then I would gladly offer you my assistance. If you're in manila now, I would recommend you to take your unit to any authorized dealer to have your lights checked. AFAIK, you can make your claims to either dealers nationwide. Perhaps you may have more luck. My sincerest apologies if my posts have caused you some discomfort. Just trying to help. Have a nice day po.

No, No, No, You are not causing me any discomfort. Not at all. In fact, I appreciate your resourcefulness and I thank you so much for that. You even make prospective buyers to have good look by your recent post and educating them. And as what a couple of guys here already adviced -to take it straight to HARI, that I have done. No reply so far. Most people here probably think that the parameter involved (inefficiency) is dealer dependent. This is still far from my mind. May mga nakapagsabi na dito of their past experience how good HARI is in responding to consumer complaints. I would like to believe so. I'm just waiting for their reply to my online complaint in the email adress as provided here by some kind hearted souls.
