Got to see the Accent CRDi in the flesh awhile ago, thanks to the Hyundai display in Shang. It was a red MT.
It really doesn't look anywhere as good as the Fiesta. It looks rather ordinary - more like a girl next door than a hot classmate.
Oddly, the interior looks smaller than what I remember from the sedan. I was fairly sure that this was the biggest subcompact (though the Almera now takes the crown), but when I sat in the back seat (with the front seat adjusted to my usual driving position), it didn't feel that much roomier than a Vios. Cargo area in the rear is so-so - no match for sedans like the City, but it's deep enough if you lift the cover up.
I did like the clutch and shifter - much better than the only other MT Hyundai I've driven, the Getz. Not as intuitive as an FD's clutch and shifter, but I think this is liveable even when driven hard.
I also asked how much it would cost to have the 16" rims fitted on the MT. Casa price is 40k. Pretty steep if you ask me, but there aren't much sellers in the secondhand market anyway.

February 26th, 2013 10:12 PM #459Spent some time looking at the accent at balintawak (Hyundai CASA). First impressions were very good until I sat at the back seat. The seat is too upright and felt like you're punishing anyone relegated to sitting at the back. Checked the accent again in Gateway with the better half and asked her to seat at the back as we are looking for a car, primarily for her use. She said it's not the best place to be in and gave a thumbs down. Otherwise, the overall package is quite good.

i was also there at shang around 6:20 pm and saw the Red Accent CRDi M/T.
- I thought that the rims for the M/T will be mags but it was steel rims + hubcaps.
- I like'd how opening and closing the doors sounded right. a small deep thud when closing all the doors.
- Cargo area for me is sufficient for a sub-compact plus it is DEEP!!!! literally.
- The dashboard is so-so for me. Nothing fancy.
- Legroom for the rear is small. I'm only 5`5 and my knees are already hitting the front seat. Also, im not sure if you can fit in 3 adults at back comfortably.. kinda small
But for the price tag of the M/T, Can't beat that and the reported FC is really really GREAT!!!! :D
