That is already normal consumption for these type of vehicles. I doubt you can do much on a Camry or an Accord too...
My old 1999 Accord gets a staggering 6.2km/L on traffic.

Oo. Sobrang lakas nyang 2.4L Theta II na Tucson. Sana hindi ganun ang mangyari sa Sonata kahit same engine sila.
Pero yung Sorento daw matipid yung 2.4L Theta II
Good thing CRDi nakuha ko. Powerful pa.

I guess Hyundai has not yet mastered gasoline engines... Basta Hyundai, CRDi na yan that is what they are known for and not gasoline engines. Kung gusto mo gas, mag Honda ka!

sa fuel efficiency yong GDI engine that does not require 95 octane and up ang sagot ng hyundai sa honda/toyota it even outperform the latter sadly ndi yata compatible sa ethanol mix petrol natin kaya wala dito

August 6th, 2010 12:03 PM #239Wala rin sa mastery yan. Basta traffic kahit anong engine (gas or diesel) with same displacement pareho mga consumption. Grand Starex CRDi ng pinsan ko 6km/L lng sa sobrang traffic. Puro highway kasi sa America and Europe kaya ang sarap pakinggan mga FC nila.
Ang needed sa Philippines is yun Variable Cylinder Management ng 3.5 Accord and the upcoming 1.3L engine ng Nissan March with Idle Stop feature. Or the best is Prius kasi designed talaga toh sa stop and go traffic. Tingin ko 90% of the time electric motor ang tumatakbo sa sobrang traffic sa Edsa.
