Auto show? MIAS ba yan? I'd be visiting sa Saturday since I'd be free starting Friday 4pm
patingin nga..
Not sure about whether the navi system would be good. I mean, we definitely don't have XM Radio here and our bottom-left steering wheel is devoid of bluetooth functionality (one of the features I miss) and trying to replace it with a 2DINN ICE unit from AVT/Pioneer/etc. is.. ugly. Tried sticking it in and unless you can somehow conform the unit with the ***iness, you'd immediately notice the sharp edges. Hands down destroys the ***iness of the center console.
Kaya pala ang pangit ng stock sound system ng Sonata. The speaker placement in the dash is NOT a tweeter (as I initially assumed) but is a full-range (or is it a midrange?) speaker approx 2.5 across. The hole is around 3.2 but usable diameter is really limited to around 2.5. The doors is 6 1/2 across so most aftermarket installation shouldn't be a headache. But I might as well toss my idea of socketing a 7" dynaudio midbass out the window. The doors are quite.. "stuffed" once opened.
The A-pillars airbags expands on the top. That is, only the top portion would expand. So you're safe putting speakers near the bottom half. Still trying to find out the stock amplifier location. Should be somewhere sa trunk, pero walang motivation ATM tumingin
For FC, I'm averaging 6.8km/L during break-in period. That's on pure city driving. It isn't bad I daresay.
EDIT: I forgot that this is one big car. Can't see the hood... at all. Nahihirapan ako tanchahan yun harap. Good thing the rear has a backup sensor. It's godsend.Last edited by jhnkvn; April 7th, 2011 at 09:01 PM.

Saw a silver Sonata earlier 11am sa McDonald Taft. Seems the driver was dropping somebody off.
Judging by the "toys", was bought at Hyundai E.Rod or Hyundai Manila Bay (Manila Bay ata... I think I managed to catch a glimpse of the dealer's plate). Pano mo alam? Tacky. Kulang nalang "Gold" sa likod para Sonata Goldit was over-chromed. Chrome back, chrome fogs, etc. Only thing I liked was the spoiler which is non-chromed.. lol..

Just came from Fontana Resort, Clark
On moderate 100km/h driving on the highways, fuel consumption stooped to 11.2L per 100km (8.93km/L) but it lastly registered around 12.5L per 100km (8km/L). Trip was from home to Fontana, konting "test" runs sa Fontana, then back again.
Nagpakarera saakin isang Hyundai Starex HVX yesterday around 11pm(di kami naghamon) It was weird, but since nasa passenger seat ako at that time as I handed the keys to a non-drinker (I doubt his tipsy at 0.5cans while I can still walk straight at 5 cans of beer) siya nakipagkarera. Sympre alam na result
'though we had our 4 windows and the moonroof up (grabe wind resistance nito tsk..) I never imagined it rev'ed til 6500rpm * 3rd gear. Bloody.
Off to Zambales naman ako later 4am. Sunburn's itch is killing me, have to stay off the beach later.
I'll have to re-air the wheels later while it's cool, it ballooned up to 26psi due to expansion (2 hours driving hot sun) tpos nagtangal lang ako ng air since I programmed it to 25psi. LOL. Simply evened out the pressure. But I'd guess its around 23psi at cool.
