I notice may konting usok ang GS ko kapag binibirit. Though wala naman ibang symptoms like erratic idling, loss of power, etc. Shell fuelsave from day1.

Feeling ko hindi pa naman kailangan ng cleaning at 2 years pa lang itong GS namin.

Baka naman DPF lang yun, naghahanap lang talaga ng birit? Is it purely city driven? I make it a point to bring my dpf equipped vehicle (all have been since 2007) to the expressway for regeneration of the dpf at least once every 2 months.

Afaik basta crdi euro2 and above na hyundai meron dpf. Kahit nga yung starex grx na hindi vgt meron dpf.

I'll try to post a pic of our GS's EGR pag nalinis na yung engine bay bro. Yung model namin aminado si Hancars na madali talaga magbara.

Was surprised that the VGT GS's maximum allowable oil consumption is 1L/1000km in severe driving conditions according to the manual. That's around 15% of the total oil already.

EGR cleaning depends on usage and model. If mostly used in the city and the older 2011 VGT model like the one we have maybe as early as 2-3 years. The newer models have an EGR that doesn't clog as easily. Should cost a few thousand pesos.

If you get the EGR cleaned might as well have the intercooler cleaned too.

To avoid getting the EGR clogged best to have it run at high rpm on highway speeds from time to time.



It probably broke off already. Fronte, Goodgear or Seiring, whichever is near your location. Best call first to confirm availability.

Thanks Sir! Got my unit 2nd hand kasi so not too familiar with the history. Its a 2012 vgt unit with 55k mileage. Was thinking for peace of mind to just have it done since ive seen it quite a few times here on the thread.

I will have the oil changed na din and maybe schedule change of atf. Anything else you would recomment to have done? Change cabin filter? Thanks sir!

1. Change atf using dialysis method
2. Flush brakes
3. Check brake pads, replace if necessary. The GS is heavy so the brake pads get worn fast especially the front brakes.
4. Flush cooling system
5. Change power steering oil
