September 26th, 2015 12:26 PM #6346this is new to me... hydraulic clutches should be foolproof..
let's see..
check clutch pedal free play, po.
then there's the clutch assembly inside the housing.. deformed? perished bearing? opening her up is the only solution to me..
perhaps someones out there can provide experiential solution.

September 26th, 2015 02:17 PM #6347how come if im not in traffic and the van is moving.. the clutch pedal is operating normally. this problem will start when the van is idle for a time ( i think 15mins ) and im getting stuck in traffic.. and if the problem worsen ill just shut off the engine and let it cool off for an hour.. then it will operate again normally.

is the new starex clutch still the traditional one? or is it now also power-assisted?
if traditional, i'd probably discard the temperature angle. the problem sounds mechanical.
let's see... may tumutukod kaya sa pidal?... is the master cylinder ok? what about the slave cylinder?.. if these are all ok....
i am afraid you might have to open up the transmission housing..
if, however, your trans is cable-operated, i suggest you replace the cable.
