March 6th, 2011 04:44 PM #1902Well based sa observation namin sir, parang nanggagaling sounds dun sa me vgt or turbo area yata yun.. Kase nandun yung scv na pinalitan.. Its like hissing sound na high pitch. Then nadagdagan pa ng ingay ng clutch fan. Okey na yung clutch fan kase mas safe na daw yung ganon. Pero Unlike sa gen3 starex mas tahimik engine compare to our gs. Hindi po mausok GS namin. Mabaho lang usok.

Hindi kaya mga injectors mo ang humuhuni bro,- kaya ka nawawalan ng power at high speed?...
Keep us updated, bro. I hope things will get better on your ride.....

Well, for the Gen3 it's academic, but then baka it's been corrected with the GS.
Took the GS - we call it Mack after Lightning McQueen's Trailer, since the GS reminds us of something big and bulky. Hehehe! - to Alabang on Saturday. It was drizzling then, so it got its first dirty drive. Hehe!
It was bonestock then, coz I couldn't squeeze in a visit to the shop, so no tint (which I'm definitely not used to) and a small lame *$$ horn. Kinda needs some getting used to, especially in traffic, but then it's much bigger than the one it replaced, so learning curve din talaga.
Power is great. There's a slight delay from go, kinda similar to the Gen 3 CRDi's, but I feel more wallop with the GS. Was pushing about 160 kph on the Skyway in both directions. Would've been higher if I had used the Sucat exit. Hehehe!
Yesterday was kamot day. Had 2 sets of fanfaren horns installed (at both ends of the grille, kasya naman though no pics) to get rid of the road runner meep meep-er. And had super black wrap around tint on all windows, but just medium magic for the front. Mack's looking badder now.
Unfortunately, he ran into a low lying horizontal pipe in the building's basement, so he's now in the shop, getting that blemish taken out.

Yup,- that's the first thing I did with my unit,- change the feeble horn... Sa akin 1 set lang na (Bosch) Fanfaren.... Sa iyo pala 2 sets... Badder...
Hindi ba kasama ang tint sa freebie?....(Sa akin kasi, kasama ang tint)
Also, changed the tail lights para all 4 are double contacts.... ala grey market...
Yes,- the Sucat to Bicutan stretch of the Skyway is a real homey place to test your speed... Medyo nga lang maalon ng kaunti ang kalsada.
I was in Evangelista Saturday afternoon and I was hoping to see a GS in one of their tyre shops......
Whew! The GS's height (without the antenna) is the same as the Gen3 with the roofrail... Mababa ang building na napasukan mo....

Well, I'd say it sounds pretty much the same, but with a little more power. Not really double the fun. Hehehe!
Tint did not come a freebie. They negotiated yata for a cash discount instead. Not sure what the terms were. Hehehe!
Was asking my suking electrician to have a look at what lights could be made as double contacts. He replies, "Boss, patagalin muna natin ng konti. Bago pa eh." Hahaha! So next kamot ko na lang yung double contact front and rear lights. Sana pwede yung headlight upgrade with it. But I'm getting ahead of myself.
Hehehe! Was really planning for Saturday to be kamot day. After a kiddie party at lunch, tint, horn and tires sana. But then I was recalled to barracks. Tsk tsk! Yesterday was another thing, coz home service yung tint and horn, kaya wasn't away from the family.
Actually, you're right on the height of the Gen 3 and GS. Thing is, the width is another problem. What I used to be able to avoid because of the Gen 3's width, was now the GS's right rear door.

IIRC Bro.IMm29,- a pair of sockets are already double contact. I think these are the sockets where your park lights are.
IIRC, The sockets for the brake lights are single contacts. So, you need to buy a pair of double contact sockets.... Simple lang palitan,- would not take 15minutes for an electrician.
It gives you better visibility on the road.....
IIRC,- the GS is 4inches(?) wider compared to the Gen3...
