April 16th, 2008 01:15 PM #1011Iam sorry to know that Mousy i gues your of their victim..oopss sorry for hyundai or should i say patient now... If you will take it seriouly static problem may bring a big head ache.. same as mentioned on this thread thou diesel ang car mo no problem sa pagpaparefuel pero ung katbi mo is gasoline it might creat heat or spark and will start a fire and booommmm bye Grand starex and bye for your self too...
...
I already mentioned this in other thread what was been the solution of H-CASA was ..."this was the exact wordings"
The static was removed due to the following solutions:
The technical group installed additional wire to the negative pole of the battery connecting to the left hand fender apron and to engine intake manifold to discharge or compensate the static electricity emitting due to a very long drive
Now dont you think that this is a silly and stupid way to do. To think it is a "BRAND NEW CAR"purchase with a huge amount of money (dugot pawis). Dont you think its an alteration of the original Engineering design of a car. Better if its an old model but what we are talking here is a very fresh one. I would agree if all of the GRAND STAREX will have the same solution that they did on my friends car. In the other side that makes my friend unique (lol) driving having a filipino pimp grease monkey mechanic alterring the eng. design of a brand new car.
I think the best solution dyan is car replacement.... as i said hidi dapat nila inalter agad ang eng. design ng isang brand new car...

April 16th, 2008 07:28 PM #1012Yup I just followed the manual recommended pressure when I went up to BAguio. Wow I was amazed with the improvement in power, before I had the intercooler turbo 2.5 and now the crdi vgt 2.5. A very big difference in technology even if the engine displacement is the same, whereas before I usually floor the gas pedal to accelerate uphill, now I only apply halfway pressure with the gas pedal and its already overtaking the buses at Marcos highway only at 2500rpm. Wow I am so impressed.
It has so many nice features like the doors are easily closed unlike before I have to exert more effort to close the doors.
The ride suspension is superb or baka bago lang. The macpherson struts really did a good job in handling the bumps although the ride is firmer its not bumpy unlike my old starex na parang matataggal ang gulong sa lakas ng kalampag pag may lubak.
Nice silver interior dash finish nagsawa na kasi ako sa wooden finish. Although I still prefer the fold up rear seats of the old model for more space for luggage. Other than that, everything is ok.
Nice windshield mounted antenna no more sabit kung saan saan.

April 16th, 2008 10:09 PM #1016Were also planning to get a Grand Starex by the 3rd quarter of this year and have decided to buy from the gray market instead of the ones from HARI. We have looked at both the gray and HARI units, the hari unit is a big disapointment in terms of features (we were considering the 9 seater variant with the P1.648M price tag) now we have decided to get the HVX model from the gray ( the one with the moonroof) for P1.738M.

P1.738M? parang bumaba presyo ah. Pero mas mabuti. Baka maibenta ko na Trooper ko para dyan.
Saang importer yan? Kasi sabi sa Pitstop daw 3 years ang warranty.
