Watched the movie "Be Cool" starring John Travolta, Uma Thurma, The Rock, Vince Vaughn, etc..
In one scene, Synde (Cedric the entertainer), owner of WMD records pokes fun at Chili Palmer's (John Travolta) Honda Insight. In turn, Chili inquires about their H2's (or H3) gas mileage, to which Synde's side-kick, Dabu (Andre 3000) replies "9 miles to a gallon"

September 27th, 2005 01:55 AM #15Ang alam ko H1 was NEVER released with a Gasoline engine...kasi when Gov Arnold asked AM General to "civilize" the H1, they only modified the interiors....
As per specs H1 is at least a 6.5L Detroit Diesel Engine (it is actually among the smallest diesel engines of detroit diesel kasi their engines ang nakasalpak sa most american trailer trucks)....as such 4-5km/L is very possible dahil maganda ang fuel injection systems na gamit ng Detroit Diesel Engines...pag nag dos lang yan merun ng problema ang makina and/or injectors nun....
Even some of my personal interview with military personnel driving military H1 in Clarck AC and the enthusiast in AC who owns refurbished H1 claims the same range (even with regular traffic) sa fuel consumption.
my 2 cents.

although, tama ka na H2 ang nasa "Be Cool" movie.
Lately, I have been seeing a GMC TopKick being used as a competitor to H2 trim. Personally, if I had the money for H2, I'd pick the TopKick SUT.

September 27th, 2005 06:39 AM #20Personally, I am amazed anyone would want to drive an H2 or any Hummer in Manila, with the gas prices and "parking"! I have an H2 and my average "within the city" drive consumes 9 miles/gallon! You guys do the math.....
