But once you get to the 4x4 trail, ibang iba talaga. The first few km, ok lang kasi dirt roads lang with the occasional dips and bumps, so kahit mga soft-roader tulad ng CR-V at Tucson, kaya. Di nga naka-engage 4x4 nung mga LC40 ng locals eh. But the rocks get bigger. And bigger. And the inclines get steeper. And steeper. Only out and out off-roaders can handle it - but surprisingly the LC200 is still capable, despite being more of a luxo-barge now.
If you just want a no-frills SUV na pwede mong ipang-harabas, maganda naman yung CR-V. But so is a secondhand Vitara or X-Trail, both much cheaper and more capable off-road than the CR-V. Hindi ka naman ata yung type na mahilig sa kotseng matipid sa gas since bigtime ka naman, so you probably won't appreciate that the CR-V is more fuel efficient than the Vitara or X-Trail.
