January 27th, 2015 01:06 PM #31for me mahirap ata mamili ng surplus if hindi mo tlga kilala pagbibilhan. mabuti pa if may kakilala ka na may kakilala sa banaue na subok na yung pagkukuhaan na part.. 13k is no joke.. sakit sa bulsa nyan.. goodluck!

I am about to buy 2008 idsi CVT. 80k+ milleage for 240k.
Ni road test ko sya. nag tataka lang ako pag nag switch ako sa S mode nag chachange gear din sya ng kusa in less 4k rpm. Di ko pa na hihit ung + button. Same din po ba sa inyo?
Pa explain further naman po ung S mode. Ang alam ko kasi it will work like manual tranny pero di ganun nangyari sa road test ko.
2nd is ung blower ng AC di kasing lakas ng blower ng ibang oto. Normal ba un sa ganitong model?
3rd is..pag nag S mode ba need pa i press ung 7 speed sa steering wheel?
Pa explain po

March 2nd, 2015 11:50 AM #34Make sure mo lang sir na wala kang maririnig na anomang ingay sa Tranny, engine, tapos dapat walang delay sa shifting, walang Jerking, stall, vibration.

March 2nd, 2015 06:31 PM #36The S mode in the city idsi cvt transmission is similar sa Low gear ng standard Automatic transmission thou hindi limited yung gears. What it does is makes the transmission shift at a higher RPM as compared to the D mode. But this is all relative to the weight of your right foot. Even sa D mode pwede siya mag shift at higher rpm.
The D mode on a light foot would usually shift at around or below 2k rpm while in S mode it will shift at 3k or above. - this is from my experience
Now the +/- tiptronic shifter doesnt mean that it will go into full manual mode, parang semi manual mode lang siya. you can up shift and downshift using the +/- buttons to the predetermined shift points in the cvt transmission. But even if you use the Manual +/- mode it will automatically at times shift up or down depending on the cars speed to prevent over revving (or under revving) the cars engine. para hindi masira yung transmission.
In the S mode you dont need to press the +/- buttons and just leave it there and it would automatically shift but at a higher rpm or downshift depending on the situation.
Now with regards to the AC blower baka kailagan lang pa linis yung aircon if hindi pa siya nalilinis.
Just double check the CVT transmission before buying it. madami na ako alam nitong sakit ng Honda CVT transmission.

March 2nd, 2015 07:19 PM #37check nyo po if regularly napapalitan CVTF.. if not magiging sakit ng ulo mo yan. mines a vtec. when i press 7speed sa sterring wheel iilaw yung indicator kung anu gear na.. up to 7.. mas mabilis ang shifting at ramdam mo yung palit, unlike nka "D" lang na smooth ang transition. while in 7 speed, if you press "+" or "-" then saka mo lang maccontrol yung shifting, parang manual kaso dipindot.. iv heard the more you use the 7 speed the more umiiksi buhay ng CVT, atleast that's what happend to my tranny. after ko nagpalit ng CVT never ko na ni attempt na gamitin yun.. lagi nlng sya nka "D". goodluck bro

Yung City ng cousin ko, 2004 I-DSI CVT. It has already clocked 140,000kms and no problem whatsoever. Usual suspension issues lang due to its age. Kayang kaya pa pumunta ng Baler and pinag babalikan niya ng Pampanga Makati. Usual maintenance lang - change oil and alaga sa Honda CVTF yung transmission.
