Yes, that was what I did with my former Jazz CVT.
I replaced the battery and then, I reprogrammed the CVT using the procedure that was shared here....
Calibration, in my opinion, may be required if the car is not performing to your expectations after doing the above. And, you need to have Honda do this for you, unless you have identified shops which can do the same...

April 19th, 2010 04:26 PM #35*cvt,
Salamat sa response sir.
nagpunta po kasi ako sa HONDA SPA (t.sora) para ipareset yung cvt kasi kapapalit lang nung battery nung city namin. quote sa kin before is 1.5k ng SA nila nung naginquire lang ako. pero nung nagpunta na talaga ako para ipareset eh 500 na lang yung nakalagay dun sa estimate sheet kasi sinabi ko kapapalit ko lang ng battery. then ang ginawa lang nung attending mechanic is software reset thru their laptop.. tinanong ko kung kasama ba yung sa cvt..sabi nya eh nde raw ibang process daw yun.. kina calibrate daw yung cvt pag nagpalit ng cvtf at ang procedure nga is same dun sa first post d2 sa thread.
So dapat pala pati yung cvt reset procedure eh ginawa rin nila?

b) Do not switch on your air-con, radio, and other electrical stuffs

e) Put your gear to N for 2 mins
f) After 2 mins, put your gear to D for 1 min
