March 1st, 2019 07:05 PM #3451Thus is definitely true, more sa RS variant. Kung sasabay lang din sya sa pace ng other mentioned cars e lalong gaganda fuel efficiency meter results. If the dashboard fuel efficiency is to be believed, mas mahina pa consumption ng RS sa City E cvt namin. Lalo na kung sasabay ka lang sa pace ng city.

Ako naman yan lang EPS ang problem ko and may rattle (actually parang kulog na rice cooker na sumusubo ang tunog haha) sa trunk/rear area (passenger side).
To be honest baka this will be my last Honda. haha!
Pag sasabayin ko na lang claim ng warranty kapag may time na and may perma fix na yung EPS problem na yan.. This is my first brand new car and it's kind of disappointing, really.

March 2nd, 2019 12:50 AM #3453True, but Im likely to hold on to mine a bit longer coz of the abundant aftermarket support. I still drive my old 93 and 96 toyotas every now and then just to appreciate the good and bad effects technologies and economics have lead to. I miss the tougher paint jobs, full spare tires and lots more included tools, simple but durable interior trims, tougher glass panels, superior chrome trims, and the overall visceral driving experience but we cannot stop progress though sometimes it feels quite the opposite.

March 8th, 2019 11:29 AM #3454I had the same kalampag noise and reported it to HONDA. They said they tested it using a noise catcher and then came to a conclusion that the gearbox needed a replacement. They completed the replacement about 3 weeks back, and this eliminated the noise. So far di pa na man bumabalik ang previous EPS issue. But meron naman ibang lumabas na ingay. while cruising in traffic at around 10kph and applying little pressure sa brake pedals ay meron na parang kumkatok na sound. So i brought it back to HONDA, sabi nila na this time it was the brake caliper. So i had both replaced just last week. Buti naman lahat ng issues ay lumabas while naka warranty pa.

March 29th, 2019 11:24 AM #3460From what i've read and heard, lahat ata ng 2016 civis have the same EPS issue. Or maybe the more knowledgeable Civic owners here can shed light? i have the 2018, so far wala pa naman lumalabas, wag din sana lumabas or magkaroon.
The EPS issue, is yung while turning left or right, may "kumakatok" na parang woodpecker. Noticeable siya, and majority of owners aren't bothere pero if OC ka, then mapapansin mo talaga.
Other than that, I haven't heard of any other issues with the new Civic.
