December 3rd, 2017 04:12 PM #1981I was actually very surprised sa bilis kong nakuha yung unit. Probably because we got it thru in-house financing from Honda Cars Kalookan? Inquired and showed our interest to get a Honda Civic 1.8E on Nov 22. Sent our requirements thru e-mail and by Nov 28, the agent informed us that the unit can be released on the 30th. Went to the dealership on the 30th to give the downpayment and hardcopies of the requirements, tapos noong araw din yun na-release samin yung unit! Though it did not come with the promised tints kasi daw di na sya maa-accomodate that day since nag-half day yung mga laborers (it was a holiday). Hopefully the OR/CR can be released soon so I can go back to the dealership to get the free tints.
Speaking of height adjustment of the driver seat, so i just tried it today (tinamad ako i-retry sya last night), pero parang di pa rin sya umaangat! Im pulling the lever up na to raise it pero di pa rin sya tumataas. Instead, it's moving forward similar to when you use the adjuster underneath the seat to move it horizontally. Huhuhu.

December 4th, 2017 02:52 PM #1988Just had my fluids check by a gas boy while I was having my car filled up.
I was shocked when he said na kulang na oil ko (kaka 1 month check ko lang sa casa). Pero short drive lang from the house na so tinuloy ko nalang. Checked earlier this morning before starting up okay pa naman levels within the criss cross patterns then consulted the manual to check after 3 mins of turning engine off pala dapat ang checking. So I decided to drive to work then checked after parking and waiting for 3 mins. Dumami because of expansion ata dahil sa heat pero goods parin.
Did I do that right? Do you guys check while hot or cold? For top up purposes do you recommend buying from Honda para ilagay sa trunk? Mixing different brands and grade is not recommended?

Theres a difference between checking the dipstick before and after an engine is started
Before running the engine the oil was stagnant for a long time and most likely have stayed down due to gravitational pull. Hence, the oil level will be either exactly on the max hole or a tad higher
When the engine is started the oil inside will disperse, spread out in the different nooks and crannies of the engine. Turn off the engine and check the dip stick. If previously the oil level is exactly on the max hole then after the engine run it should be a tad below the max hole. If its a tad more than max hole then it should be exactly on the max hole after the engine run
The proper level should be the one after an engine run when the oil is properly dispersed inside but since its the MAX hole were talking about its alright for the oil level to be a tad less than max
You need to top up only when the oil is already below the minimum hole
Thats what i learned from a mitsubishi service advisor
