Not really. You'll need an extra 10 whp to feel a noticeable difference. And oftentimes it's the tuning that brings a difference more than peak power.
And 87 to 93 in the US is basically 91 to 97 here. Remember they use AKI and not RON. So that's a 4-peso per liter variance.

So a full tank takes more than 10% of your monthly income then, as compared to now wherein the average car owner probably makes at least 40k a month and a full tank is under 2k, then times are better these days.
After all, adjusted PPP is still higher now than it ever was.
