The Jazz has always been B-segment, and will always be B-segment, even if it's bigger than the Altis in space or size.
More than just the car size, it's about the image of the car itself. This doesn't really change per generation. Which is why the Jazz/City will always be be perceived as cheaper than the Altis or Mazda 3, even if their pricing is suprisingly very similar now.
I'm sure some car nuts would say that comparisons should be made based on specs, but really, less than 1% of the population cares.
Personally I like the Jazz but the pricing is a bit too high for my taste - too near the Mz3 and Altis.

Vx+ also has hill start assist but do we really need that? I used to drive an a/t '01 rav4 and it always stays in place when i stop on elevation and release the break. It moves back a little but just by a few inches then catches on quickly. Aren't all matics supposed to work like that?
