An SiR will do for family use... It can fit five people in city/short drives... the Accord will only up the comfort level significantly if you're carrying five people to the provinces (100 km or longer drives), but seriously... we're Pinoys... I've done five-up seating in compacts for long trips with no problems with 90's compacts.
The only big advantage, for me, for the Accord, is luggage space. In all other things, speed, economy, maintenance costs, reliability, the SiR just beats it, hands down.
But if you go for an Accord, the best buy is probably a manual transmission 98-00 VTi-L... Euro-style looks, good engine, good gearbox. Accord ATs are crap. Hahahaha...
Ang pagbalik ng comeback...

Actually, both can be driven daily, and it all depends on the specific situation of your daily drive.
One thing to note though is that if you are into the 98+ model Accord, it will be more expensive to maintain especially on suspension and major parts compared to the Civic. Remember if you will get a 97-99 Accord, most of the major parts are already due for replacement, (if not replaced).
And for me I will get an Accord. I have one actually. ... a 98 VTi.

April 9th, 2009 05:20 PM #20For me, I'll get the Accord, iba ang dating, and really comfy ride. And if you're into performance you can always go for an engine upgrade.
