Does anyone know what the 5" screen looks like?

The CRV fits 3 adults comfortably in the second row, at least in my experience. It's wider than my Civic and I haven't had any complaints with 3 adults in the back for long drives out of town.

Maintenance is actually cheaper than my old Toyota. I only spent 2.9k for my Civic's 10,000 km PMS, not to mention that they only have 10,000 km PMS intervals unlike Toyota's 5,000.

I like the aircon of my Civic more than my Altis because the Altis was too cold even at 28 degrees. The Civic's climate control is more realistic as setting it to 24 degrees actually keeps it at 24 degrees. Your friend's broken aircon seems to be an isolated case, as I haven't seen any other similar complaints among the hundreds of Civic owners in the Civic FB group. There are also isolated cases of aircon problems in other brands. I don't think it should be a dealbreaking concern when deciding which car to go for - cars today have much more robust airconditioning systems compared to those from the 90s.

But the design of the front grille is now consistent with the rest of the Honda cars lineup/family.

The rear tail lights have that volvo vibe. I like.

I agree.... Try riding a PPV then immediately transfer to a crossover and you will feel a big difference in ride comfort especially if you carry your whole family over long travels... they all sleep like a baby.

It's not all that exciting to drive too, at least based on my experience with the outgoing model. That's in comparison to the Forester and CX5 of course. If you compare it to any of the PPVs, the CRV is still far more nimble and comfortable.

Like I said before, a good number of car buyers will still flock to the more macho PPVs despite their rough riding nature. The CRV caters to a niche of diesel-loving SUV buyers who prioritize comfort but still need the occasional 7 seats.

There isn't much you can do with a box while maximizing space.

Look at the City vs. the Jazz. Both the Jazz and CR-V are designed with maximum space utilization in mind.

That said, the new CR-V has better fender flaring and a more aggressive stance than the old model. Definitely an improvement, moving closer to the split-grille we bought back in 07.

I doubt CarGuide's 11.2 second estimate. I estimate about 12 seconds. Which is reasonable for a diesel in this class.

But speed is never the deciding factor for purchases. Otherwise everyone would be buying Trailblazers (9 seconds to 100 km/h).

Still, shame. Hopefully we get a 160 hp variant in the next model cycle. Maybe 2019?

Im in the market for a 7-seater mpv/cuv/minivan and this crv is underwhelming too. Couldve been better if it's priced lower to about 1.1M.
But this will still sell for people looking for something bigger than a sedan for groceries, pets, extra 2 seats and for out of town/weekend trips.

panget talaga bagong CRV, the only reason why you'll try it is because its a diesel. Had Honda released only gas engines like before, parang Mazda CX5 na lang thread na to. gasoline and ugly looks wala na dapat pagusapan pa.

I myself will never buy this ugly car even if it's a diesel no matter what the toys are in. pero interested ako sa disrupting power nya sa market coz I know a lot of individualists - people who dont want to buy Forts/ Monteros/MUXs just because they weren't first, would buy this kasi first sila magkakaron lol. I like market studies

1.1M? What car has 7 seats, a diesel engine, 9AT, ABS, traction control, 6 airbags, Android Auto/Apple Carplay, push button ignition, LED headlamps, leather seats, paddle shifters, etc at 1.1M?

1.1M only gets you a mid-level compact nowadays.

The new CR-V's front grille is actually the inverse of the current Honda lineup because the CR-V's front chrome strip sits at the lower half of the Honda logo and then curves downwards to the lower part of the headlights - very much unlike the new Accord, Civic and City where the chrome strip floats across the upper half of the logo and slants upwards towards the top part of the headlamps.

I get the Volvo-like shape of the tail lights but it came across as a bad take on the same when they designed the lower part to sort of curve in. Between the front grille and rear tail lights, I detest the rear tail lights more...

Despite those two styling fails in my book, I still very much like the new CR-V - smartly-designed and well-appointed overall. And I guess that says a lot about the car in general.

    Well, to each his own...

its rear is as worse as the Montero. its front ewan ko, at least si Montero may dating ang front. but at least Honda is generous with the toys kahit sa V fully loaded na
