that is a major intersection. you're supposed to make a complete stop before proceeding. may stop sign ba dun? baka deretso ka lang nag right turn, kaya un ang hinuli sayo ng mmda, as not yielding.

The stop signal is if you cross the intersection of EDSA-Ortigas. Turning right towards Ortigas (Galeria) no stop signals. I did not see any YIELD sign. There were three vehicles that turned before I did: a Pajero, a jeepney and a LEC. We were only seconds apart. If they are strictly implementing the YIELD rule (which I don't think they do since I practically pass by that area nearly everyday) then those bozos should've stopped the three vehicles before me. Assuming that there were vehicles approaching, I would've made a complete stop. As far as proceeding to turn directly, no: I slowed to a near standstill before proceeding. When I accelerated (after I made the full turn) that's when the signal light turned green (for vehicles proceeding to Galeria). 1-2 seconds after it went green, that's when the MMD flagged me down.

I would understand his flag-down if I made the turn while vehicles are approaching and I didn't yield. But, when I made the and finished the turn, the coast was clear.

'Di ba on intersections like that, the rule is "turn right anytime with care"?

It was at the EDSA-Shaw intersection when I made a left turn towards Makati, habang naka-senyas daw ng "stop" yung enforcer (incidentally, he wasn't wearing any reflective material that would make him visible to other motorists). Katwiran ko, nakatingin ako sa traffic light, which was green at the time.

If I don't have a flurry of activities and work this week and in the following weeks, I would've filed a complaint. Unfortunately, time would not bhe permitting for me to do so.

I've filed 2-3 complaints against MMDA officials in the past so I know the drill.

Maybe next time, if this incident repeats itself.

To doubt would make us more careful. But if you have no proof about your doubts, just keep it to yourself. Kaya marami sa ating mga Pilipino madaling maloko at madaya dahil madali tayong magtiwala.

Did anything happen? Were your complaints resolved?
