September 21st, 2014 10:03 AM #1If that ad aired on free TV, that means their ad board approved of it. Very timely, right after TS Mario kicked our *$$es recently.
That ad may have sent the wrong impression of Malaysians to would-be investors --- I.e. If it'S willing to tear down a country that' s obviously down on its luck, and "no match" to Malaysia, one wonders what else it's willing to do.
On the other hand, Pinoys are generally patient, receptive....and most importantly, polite. Maybe they should work on that.
Well, so much for ASEAN a unity and all that crap.Last edited by badkuk; September 21st, 2014 at 10:15 AM.

what do you expect? they are one of the most racist people on earth. bumiputras on top, peninsular malays next, bornean malays, then dayaks, those of indian descent, then lastly those with chinese blood. they suck on the british, hate the US and love the chinese tourists' money (but not the chinese).
even though filipinos work as top accountants, business managers and engineers in their companies their vision of a filipino is one who works in their palm plantations. or worse, a pokpok in miri.

typical emotional filipinos. hilig mag react sa internet pg may nasabi tungkol sa pilipinas but they dont seem to mind being abused/taken advantage of by their corrupt politicians.
what they said in there has some truth in it

sad but all the statements there are true.
tama din yung isang comment this ad was not from malaysian govt. galing ito sa isang private company.

imho. totoo naman yung mga pinagsasasabi ng ads eh diba? the government, should address this, instead of attracting investments without solving the root problems.
however, infrastructure does not win investments entirely..... kasama na din yung workforce quality dun.

Totoo naman lahat ng sinabing negative. Yun nga lang below the belt, hindi dapat sinasabi lalo na sa marketing ad. Desperation. PAL should make one too. :rofl01:

It's from a private company not from Malaysian Government. So let's not drag Malaysians to this issue.
What I can see here is Aegis is taking cheap shot at the Philippines. Kasi nga naman alam nilang mas fluent ang english ng Pinoy, they should know, they've been here. And BPO needs fluent english. So ibaling ang atensyon sa weather, etc. Pero iba Pinoy, sa gitna ng bagyo, cancelled na lahat ng opisina, mga BPO may pasok pa rin, kahit minsan skeletal crew na lang.

Admittedly, they rose to the top during the reign of Dr. Mahathir Mohamad. But remember, it was also a dictatorship that not everyone loved. But there was progress. Now, they're trying to stay on top of their game after the post Mahathir era. Unfortunately, this isnt the case now. Marcos, for all the human rights violations and corruption issues, did actually long term projects that would have helped us get back on our feet. Until the events of 1986 and 2010.
Aegis should have known that thing called "regional accents". No matter how hard you train 100 people to speak like an american, 90 of them will still speak like a native speaking english. This is most prominent in the ASEAN with our neighboring countries. That is why outsourced industries not related to manufacturing (eg BPO's) do not thrive in their economies.
Pinoys have been reknowned to be international "parrots". Teach them the language, with the proper accents and hand gestures (european culture) and viola, you get someone you think grew up in that area.
Yeah, so much for the ASEAN Integration thing with this incident ....
IMHO

They are not good in this kind of work. Feeling nila ay sila ang boss at hindi customer by nature ng race nila so kaya siguro walang nag tatayo ng ganyan klase ng company sa kanila. Pareho sila ng ugali ng Singaporean parehong may superiority complex!
