Leviticus2 : See, you agreed with me, in some ways.
dropping off an old person or family member-- if it's only for unloading purposes then letting people off in front of the entrance of a business establishment is perfectly fine as these are designated loading/unloading areas.
Going back, what if it's you driving the van and it's an old lady that you're dropping off ? I'm sure you're aware on how ladies especially old ones act & move. They're s .. l .. o .. w .., thus, can even take up more than a minute.
If I were in that case ? I'd simply push my hazard lights on to make the cars at my back aware of what I am doing -, parked .. for a couple of minutes ... cause im dropping someone off. - and with that, those cars at my back would simply overtake me and proceed cautiously without bugging me with their horns because at their minds they thought that I was stopped there for no apparent reason.
Phetzie : Correct. Obviously, there are 2 different views that are completely opposite with each other. Whereas one of them is followed, practiced & seen correct by many while the other one is simply a rule that is typewritten on a sheet of paper that I'd bet, even the enforcers are unaware of it.
If bruks_pt & leviticus2 want this to be enforced strictly, then why not start on your own and start educating your friends that are surrounding you both. Who knows, maybe, again maybe, some of them might take the same path as yours.
And if that's what you're doing right now, then sadly, you guys failed. Because obviously most of us here will stick to the tradition for our own convenience & safety.
Ohwell. I rest my case. This argument will not stop as 2 views cannot please each other and be as one.
And yes, we're completely off-topic. Mods might just give us an infraction for being so. I'm sure all of us doesn't want to have one.
Might as well make up a different thread regarding this -, and yes, I am referring to you, Leviticus2 - that might just be kept open ...... for a couple of minutes. :hysterical:Last edited by renzo_d10; May 1st, 2011 at 11:32 AM.

stopping and using HL may be against the law, he may even have a different view on the matter, but you really have to call the poster stupid? just because he doesnt accord with your view?

Again sa Pinas tayo, so to be relatively safe , better to know how traffic enforcers and the usual drivers think locally. Puwede sa mga scandals or FB (For Bobo).
