My well travelled Aunt loves Cathay, since nagkaisip ako (80s) Cathay na siya to SFO while my whole family flies PAL, I never understood kasi may stop over ang Cathay while PAL is direct. Now she's had her redemption because PAL is crap. I used to fly PAL almost exclusively but stopped in the 2000s. Lalo ako nabilib sa Auntie ko LOL. Idol ko rin yung mag pack ng luggage, I miss her so much tuloy! Can't wait to see her this year

Sarap kaya mag stopover sa HK. Sometimes I deliberately choose a very long connecting flight in HK (as long as 12hrs), para makapasyal muna sa city and eat some HK food.

a relative recently lost her luggage while on route abroad for a 2 week vacation.
had to buy new clothes and frequent visit to the laundry mat.

Now a close friend of mine will be traveling using Cebu pac in a few months. Funny thing is he bought the tickets on sale pero he is a bit of a flashy person. Apparently his luggage is worth over 100k (Rimowa?). Now he is contemplating putting an Airtag on his Luggage just in case. I told him you cant complain if the service s*cks, you get what you pay for. Tiisin mo na lang yan. malaki naman natipid mo.

Naka Rimowa tapos magtitipid sa airfare

I remembered years ago, went inside a Rimowa store, lifted their aluminum luggage and told the sales lady ang bigat naman ng maleta nyo, wala na ako malalagay sa loob kasi mag overweight na. Sagot sa akin: sir, naka business class po lagi mga naka Rimowa

Kahit naman PAL may magnanakaw pa rin. In my recent trip early this month, I took UA/PAL on the way back (stop-over SFO) while my luggage was checked-in all the way to MLA. Hayun pagdating sa NAIA sira na ang lock, and zipper opened halfway. When I looked inside, missing ang purse that I bought for my wife pang mother's day present sana. On hindsight, sana nilagay ko na lang sa handcarry ko.

    theft is everywhere.
let us not attract them to us.

lagyan niya nang oversize 'RIMOWAK' tag over the original manufacturer's tag.

    our old friend,
came, wearing a pair of ferragami.
    umulan.
    hinubad at naka-medyas umuwi.

    OT.

You're not supposed to put valuables in checked luggage naman talaga. Kahit kaha de yero pa yan, itits going to be out of your sight and control the entire trip. You won't even need a bolt cutter for those puny locks either, just a pair of pliers.

Travelling with expensive liuggage llike Rimpwas eh naku... open invitation yan.

“Fast forward to today… I went to the airport super early, checked in online, I already have a boarding pass and everything was OK… Til I reach bag drop counter and was told my flight is cancelled… And that my new flight is on the 26th of May!!! I couldn’t believe it! Again?!,” she said.

Eker said the Gokongwei-owned budget carrier did not offer any compensation or a place to stay since she would have to wait another six days for the new flight.

“I couldn’t help but curse and really show how frustrated I was!! HOW CAN YOU DO THIS TO PAYING CUSTOMERS TWICE IN 3 WEEKS?!!!!,” she added. “Mga hayop! Wala man lang empathy! After lining up for 7 hours ang maibigay nyo tubig at magic flakes?! Yun na yon?!” she said, urging Cebu Pacific to improve their customer service instead of being fixated on profits.
