Since they have change their category to a LOW COST CARRIER (LCC) airline from a normal passenger service airline naging mas strict ang rules nila plus no more hot meals serve on the flights. Just like Tiger Airways (15Kg), Jet Star (20Kg) and Air Asia (20kg) ang baggage allowance.
Dyan sila bumabawi sa kita nila sa mga over excess baggage, re-booking ng mga flights, cancellation fees, non refundable tickets at mga taxes na binayad natin, it will not go back to us. Sa mga airlines na yun.
It's true they are offering cheap air tickets pero dun sila bumabawi sa mga nabanggit ko.
And one more thing kaya dumami na delays nila ngayon, nagdagdag sila ng maraming flights pero yung A320's and A319's nila are not enough to support the volume of their flights.
Cebu Pac are aware of all these issues kaya nag order pa sila ng maraming eroplano.

Twice a year kami umuuwi sa province (Manila-Tacloban).

Personally, I haven't had any bas experiences with Cebu Pacific, including delays. We can't expect too much, because it's a low cost carrier. However, I would say that Pinoy airlines are still better off in terms of customer service and general passenger courtesy. Believe me, i've experienced far worse in other airlines, especially US-based and those low-cost carriers in Europe and Africa.

buti nga at merong budget airlines
tulad ng cebu pacific. as the name
suggests, budget talaga.
at least mas naging mura yung route
ng manila-singapore.
my parents were delayed last october
nung pumasyal sila ng singapore. may
bagyo yata sa pinas. but they were
given free 1-way tickets back to
singapore.
i don't think they frequently do that.
eh di nalugi sila.
sana bumili sila nung A380 para
mas ok.

Now I know..
kaya pala kahit kelan ayaw ni hubby sumakay jan, lagi kaming PAL pag umuuwi sa kanila sa ozamis, mas maluwag at maganda pa ang service, never pa kaming naka experience ng delay with PAL..
Well sabi nga ni Mguy, you get what you paid for, though di naman siguro lahat ganyan ang naranasan meron rin sigurong bad and good time, hehehe

OT: Taga-Ozamiz hubby mo? San dun? Taga-Oroquieta kme! heheh! Kamusta airport sa Ozamiz? Ok na ba? Last time kse na nagamit ko yan eh 90's pa. Via Dipolog ako lagi or via Cebu then ferry to Ozamiz
Back to the topic: I personally never had any bad experience with Cebu Pacific. Well, except the long queue in the Makati ticketing office. So far ok naman mga trips ko with them to CEB, HK and back to MNL.

October 23rd, 2007 12:51 AM #38well tama nga naman na you get what you pay for. but because of their ads that say 99% of the time they're 'on-time', it becomes frustrating when you get delayed for 50% of your trip. hahahaha

I've had my share of delayed flights sa PAL.
Just last month from HK we were put in a holding pattern over Pampanga for an entire hour! tapos pag-land nung plane nakasabay niya yung galing Shanghai kaya took me more than an hour to get my check-in luggage.
I also had the misfortune of sitting in the plane on the runway at Shanghai for 5 hours!!! naubusan ako ng battery sa notebook ko, di pa naka-alis.
As for luggage limits... even Singapore Air has gotten pretty strict about weight limits.

PAL seems to be more on time now than Cebu Pacific. I think the competition did them well, it's now time for Cebu Pacific to do better. Dati nga ang slogan nila On Time 97% of the time, ngayon delayed na 97% of the time.
