I'm pretty sure the 16v 190e had more than 160hp
More like 180-200 I believe.

aba naging Cali roads na pala ang usapan
the I-5 is really easy to go fast on, but the speed trap cops are crawling like ants...it also gets scary on the part called the "Grapevine", which is what Jun is talking about - going down the mountain you pick up a lot of speed but your brakes might not be able to handle it...it's funny and scary at the same time to see "bail out" exits (filled with sand and gravel) every couple of miles or so. i might have gone 120 mph on the way down, but got scared because my discs were fading on the turns
the 101 is nice and scenic north of Agoura Hills and all the way to Santa Barbara.
but the best driving in the state IMO is on the Pacific Coast Highway from Monterey to Malibu....the most amazing scenery you'll ever find and enough twisties to make the most hardcore canyon carver grin. the only bummer is that if you screw up, you've got a rather unforgiving mountainside on one side, and a guardrail and a steep drop into the Pacific Ocean on the other side. i hit 100+ mph in an MR2 Turbo a few times down that stretch, but was too chicken to take the corners at 10/10ths. you should really be cruising and enjoying the view on that stretch rather than going fast anyway
