There is a speed camera a few kilometers before the San Fernando exit (northbound), the same one as in Mexico.
They do not apprehend also speeding southbound vehicles past the Bocaue toll gate. I drive faster after I exit the Bocaue toll gate than when I am driving from the viaduct to the Bocaue toll gate.
When we went to Pampanga on January 1, the speed camera in Mexico flashed as I was travelling northbound in NLEX. I was only doing around 110 kmh on the right lane (outer). I exited Angeles and there was no apprehension.
Does NLEX/SCTEX implement no-contact apprehension already?

It's a working deterrent in NLEX. I found out on my last trip to Pampanga that vehicles passing that area are slowing down when approaching the speed camera in Mexico.
As mentioned above, I had to pass the car doing 90kmh in the inner lane when the camera flashed. It caught me by surprise. Sana nakapag smile man lang ako. hehehe

August 20th, 2019 09:07 PM #1064New Updates after 2 years hehehe
My top speed here in the Philippines is 165 kph using my Corolla Big Body Gli M/T along TPLEX.

August 20th, 2019 11:41 PM #1068Perhaps tires in need of balancing?
It is quite admirable that a car this old is still capable of hitting such speeds without much drama.
Nowadays I don't get to have fun anymore. 120 is all I can do without risking a ticket and loads of hassle.
Perhaps a midnight run on the old Maharlika route someday...
