need4speed,
I think your choices here are apples and oranges. Aside from the wide range of prices, performances varies greatly. I'd take BMW M3 at anytime. This one choice will smoke the rest on your list.
it's just that those are the cars/suv's that I seem to fancy now a days...
and i'm trying to budget a little... trying to get the most
for the dough... although an M3 is quite a car... hmmm...
decisions decisions... lolz ;)

M3 na no! hehe... there can be no substitute :D
As for the Mercedes G-Wagen, it's sold as the G500 in the states. it's most comparable to the old Lexus LX450 in function and design (a dedicated, bona fide, out-and-out off-roader in luxury trappings), although the look and spirit of the G500 is closer to the Land Rover Defender.

btw.. is the M3 FWD RWD 4WD ?
I'm also thinking about the winters here in the east coast (heard from my office mates it's really cold as hell... not to mention the snow can be quite deep and slippery... thus i need more traction)...
I really might need a 4WD... or maybe an SUV 4WD... that's why
the decision which one to choose is also hard...

M3 is RWD... it seems that winter tires will tremendously increase the capability of rear-wheel drivers in snow and ice
in that case, get a 330Ci 6-speed and a RAV4 or something hehe... or an X5 :D

M3 is a rear wheel drive
and for snow...
ahh, the beauty of 300hp, DCCD, all-wheel drive ;) hehehe
and if you wanna stay EURO, BMW 330Xi is an AWD and has 225hp.
and, instead of the 350Z, I suggest the Infiniti G35 Sports Coupe. I like the G35's rear and front end than the 350Z. I prefer an all-black configuration...hehe

Porsche Cayenne, no thank you. Seen it in person, looks like a 911 with body lift
If they only have a lower body color coded with the car, it would have been better.
BMW X5 is preferred... ;)
