mazdamazda,
yup iba yun suspension sa Ghia and GSI. weird nga eh. I think may mga dampers yun ghia and rs na wala sa GSI. i'll check the brochure again...
hehe. oonga eh! naka ilang toyota na rin yun family ko nuon(and until today) never broke down.
ah, kaya pala.... ok, tao na ako ngayon! hehehe exporters pala sila.
actually, nagustuhan ng wife ko(even me) yun Lancer GLX. its A/T, biege interior and malaki talaga room inside compared sa mga 1.5liters... at malaki ang discount... almost 60k.
i hear you guys... anyways bahala na test drive ko muna siguro. magtetest drive kami ni esmi ng 1.5G the guys at toyota were kind enough to drive all the way to our company para lang matest namin yun Vios nila. hmmm... i'm impressed!

pre... oks rin yung lancer talaga. ganda nung biege interior... biege leathers seats na lang ang kulang! may nakita rin akong lancer na may TV sa dash...

well, true to their word sinundo nga ako(and my wife) ng toyota para itest drive and they were on-time pa! alas kwatro eksakto! hehehe 3 pa silang ahente, siguro 3 din sila share sa incentive hehehe
anyway hiway... ayos pala ang vios! natuwa ako sa digital center cluster meter(s) nya! although during the drive i hardly looked at it and instead i was sometimes caught off guard staring into a blank dash infront of me! hehehe. surprisingly its nice tho for a subcompact... rides comfortably, even at the back. ok din yun fabric ng seats. the car came in black by the way. and what impressed me was a responsive engine hmmm A/T pa sya... my rant, sobra sikip sa likod kung 3. walang center storage bin and the rear seats do not fold. hindi mags yun 5th wheel...
ano kaya masasabi ng city at lancer? ....
pero ang nakakatuwa sa test drive, they had the mileage ba yun or odometer disabled. ndi nag register yun tinakbo namin. pansin ko kase naka on yung check engine indicator... and the agent honestly explained. pero naisip ko kawawa naman yun buyer ng unit kase yun yun ginamit namin. hinataw ko pa at nilubak para macheck yun ride comfort hehehe.
well, yun lang. chika ko lang yun vios! have a nice day

1.6 is a better choice for the engine. But for 1.5 engines, I still go for the Vios.

January 6th, 2005 11:27 PM #17imo zechs ang prob mo sa civic is yung upcoming all new honda civic tapos baka magsisi ka na bumili ka ng kotse hirap ng feeling nun pero civic is oks large LEG ROOMS grabe yun talaga ang oks sa leg room can compete with mid size sedan
cons lang naman ng civic is that it has disc up front drums at rear tapos no 60/40 seats pero who used them hehebut it can be handy sometimes like bringin long objects

I will also choose a 1.6 engine over a smaller engine....sometimes you really need that extra grunt on some occasion and its better if you have it when you need it...
compact cars(1.3's) are fast nowadays because of new engine technology or probably the manufacturer design it to be fast to attract more customers coz by statistics, majority of consumers have this itchy racer thing inside them. Size wise they are almost the same with the midsize sedans (1.6's) pero pag minsan kase, bumibyahe kayo na puno ang sasakyan with luggages pa kung minsan and naranasan ko na na mabitin sa mga arangkadahan sa medyo paakyat na kalsada, sa pag-overtake sa zigzag nang laguna at quezon, imagine ang layo pa nung kasalubong ko so alam ko na kayang kaya dapat, hinika yata yung makina, downshift na ako hanggang 2nd gear na ako eh ayaw pa ring humatak kaya ayun balik ako sa likod nang passenger jeepney na gusto kong unahan....and after that eh nawala na yung bwelo nung car kaya lalo syang hirap...na-unahan ko na lang yung jeep nung pababa na yung zigzag dahil di sya makabilis sa kurbada..... I dont experience that on a 1.6 and above na kotse kahit pa lima kami sa sasakyan....of course sa flat roads eh malamang di maghuli ang bilis nung dalawa but don sa mga alanganing inclined situation na kelangan mo nang extra grunt from your engine, don mo maaasahan ang malaking engine displacement....besides nakumpara namin ang gas consumption nang 1.6 at 1.3 on both situation, halos parehas na lang dahil nga siguro mas stressed yung 1.3 engine sa mga ganong sitwasyon, but for daily city driving mas matipid nga ang 1.3, kaya nga nasa manila parati yung Honda hatch namin....hehehe mas matipid sya for city driving....
