Hmmm... I've read from other forums that those static discharge are dangerous especially when re-fuelling at the gasoline station. There are cases that fuels ignite due to those static discharge. That's why it's advisable not to leave your car and just stay inside when re-fuelling.

i always do, maybe from coming out from a cold temp to a warmer environment or vice versa....during the part of early fall, winter and late spring that usually happens...but during summer not really.

carpet is the most common culprit... ako malakas mag conduct ng static ang katawan ko, whether sa car, sa office, or anywhere... nagugulat minsan yung mga hinahawakan ko dahil ang lakas daw
