Its a lot more inconvenient when you stall an automatic car because you can't just jump start the darned thing by the tulak boys. Another way an A/T can be downed would be water entering into the transmission fluid. But that would usually take a lot of flood to do.

Hangang dibdib in the vicinity of Mandaluyong muncipal hall in the 80's. It was with my Isuzu Luv big foot pick-up.
33 inch wheel diameter + 12 inches lift. Sarap ng feeling when you know it's deep & driving no sweat cause the
water level barely touches the oil pan with exhaust pipe up to the roof top. Everyone staring on the car cause they
see it as if it's floating in the water.

More than 3/4 ng gulong submerged for more than 5 mins bagal ng usad minsan full stop pa. Umilaw din battery indicator iniisip ko baka inabot ang alternator. Nawala din naman after a few mins. Is there a cause for concern?

I used to have a mitsubishi adventure which was bought bnew way back in 1998 or 99. During a severe typhoon i was driving to manila from baguio and got re-routed somewhere in pangasinan because of heavy flooding in urdaneta, had to cross a span of road that was submerged in 2.5 of running water. It was scary but got thru it naman and my adventure before did not have any problem from it.
