An update on foton tornado


We bought a foton tornado 2.5 drop side 2013. So far for performance okay naman kayang kaya sabayan ang aming isuzu elf with 4hg1 engine pero medyo mas malakas lang talaga isuzu. beverage delivery namin ginagamit ang mga truck sa mga bukid dito saamin ang route so expect rough roads, around 200 case( assorted na po may beer at iba pang inumin) ang usual na karga nito. For durability naman we have never had any major issues hindi pa na open ang engine wala pa kaming napalitan na part 70000 km na pero hindi pa naman na sisira thank god hehehe. Marami saamin dito sa probinsya nagsasabi sirain daw at walang lakas sa hatakan ang truck na ito at malaki daw pagkakamali ang pagbili namin pero parang hindi naman totoo. Like all other things it really goes down sa pag aalaga mo sa truck at sa pag dala IMO.

Dati meron ako Isuzu NHR kahit regular ang maintenance and change oil etc.. pero nalaman ko nung huli yun driver ko bago palang yun Isuzu hinataw na kaya nwala ng hatak parang 80nm ang torque so binenta ko . So satingin ko kahit ano bilhin truck basta ayun sa specs ng negosyo mo alaga lang talaga dapat both driver and maintenace.ng owner.

I think I will try the tornado 2 mpv kasi friend ko bumili din.

Our company uses isuzu trucks and L300 vans for many years still reliable. We bought the Isuzu vans

brand new and been using it for 10 years. just proper maintenance.


Next time we're considering SOBIDA. re-manufactured or reconditioned Isuzu vans. its 30% or more cheaper

than brand new Isuzu. Foton is not an option, one company i know bought Foton trucks less than 4 years,

sira ang electrical wirings. I felt the way they use their vans dapat Isuzu kinuha nila, wala silang mechanic

for short not much maintenance.

I think puede ang Foton if maintained very well. Sa isuzu change oil lang katapat it will remain reliable for many years.

I owned Isuzu NHR FB dual/ac for delivery for 4 years and owned also 3 units of TORNADO 2 FB for 3 years. Ang masasabi ko with my experience compare sa dalawang light truck ay Mabagal ang NHR isuzu, mahina makina, nagpalit ako agad ng compressor, mahina aircon, matigas ang suspesion. The good side is matipid, matibay makina tahimik, change oil and filters lang engine routine ng makina. Foton...mabilis, malakas, malambot suspesion, malaki, matipid. Neg side is mahina hydrobach, electrical, aircon at gulong.

Meron na ba dito nakagamit ng Foton Tornado 2.2C new engine na sya yung Blue Power 2.8 Cummins engine?

I'm seriously considering this unit because of the low cost. Mga twice lang gagamitin pang deliver on daily basis.
