September 13th, 2007 01:14 AM #241being an owner of a 2004 1st gen everest 4x2, wala kaming masabi in terms of it's value....our unit clocked ~50thkm, and it is still running strong. lumusong na sa baha 3x sa kasagsagan ni milenyo, akyat sa mga island to avoid fallen trees, and many more....a good value for money indeed, pa-align lang ng mabuti ang front wheels as it seems to have been designed na parang volks, 1st gen specifically.
serviced by ford alabang since it hit 5thkm, very good service to our standard. in fact better than honda alabang if i relate it to the service of our other vehicle.
bumpy? yes on the 3rd row seat, but my small kids kinda like it on a short ride....but only for cargo on long drives.
being a family man, everest is a good buy.....if in case we will replace it, well get the new eve....

September 20th, 2007 01:29 PM #244I'm also satisfied with the 2007 Everest, even fuel consumption is fine. However, the service of my dealer is very poor (the one with quality care in its name, how ironic). Please advise what Ford dealer has good or best service. Thanks!

September 29th, 2007 05:03 PM #247Just want to share my experience with my Everest. Mukhang ako lang ata ang hindi satisfied sa unit.
I got my everest last 2004.
First day pa lang, napansin kong masyadong mausok at malamang bagsak sa smoke belching. Dealer claims that this is normal to some of their units that needs some adjustment. Fortunately, nabago naman.
After just 1 year and 2 months and with 8K odometer, I have to replaced the battery.
Before it reach it 2nd year and at less than 15K, I also need to replace the stopper and bushing. Dealer was charging me more than 5K for the replacement.
Last month, after 2 years and 9 months, my power windows on the driver's side was no longer working. So far, I have not sent it yet for repair.
With just more than 2 years of use and low mileage, this is the first time I have encountered all these defects.

sir sorry to hear sa problems ng eve mo kahit low mileage pa siya, pero tanong ko lang bakit it was not covered by Ford's 3-year warrantee.
my 2nd generation eve is due for the 20k km psm this month and pa-check ko rin sa casa some possible problems like what you encountered...

October 2nd, 2007 06:24 PM #250All the defects that I encountered was the normal wear and tear according to them hence should only cover a one year warranty (for the battery) or less (for other parts).
I should have used my ride more often for a provicial sortie or even go off road. Maybe, it will be more easier for me to accept all the defects.
As expected, in response to Tesla’s entry into the Philippines market, Ford will be bringing in the...
