^^^ You can always buy parts outside casa. There will always be a cheaper option. For shock absorbers, try KYB. A lot of folks in FCP use KYB shocks to replace their busted stock shock absorbers.

The ecosport owner is suing Ford EDSA for negligence with help of Ford San Fernando ...hehehe.
Everyone at Ford San Fernando was amazed and said we had a guardian angel. They were also in disbelief that this happened, considering that the vehicle was fairly new and that we never miss our preventive maintenance checks. So the question still remains, how in the world did this happen? Few points on the discussion we had with the manager:
1. The shock absorber is very much intact and has nothing to do with it. It is not the cause, contrary to what Ford Edsa is saying. In short, they misdiagnosed my vehicle.
2. It is unusual for a vehicle to have a problem with the ball joint, more so for a fairly new vehicle to have a problem with the ball joint UNLESS it was defective to begin with. This made us question the integrity of the parts on our vehicles. More so made me think if the vehicle issued was defective/with substandard part. If so, then i would demand it to be replaced.
3. If there was a problem with the ball joint, there would have been leaks and this should have been seen during the preventive maintenance IF IT IS PERFORMED CORRECTLY AND THOROUGHLY. That is what the charges on the oils are for. Hence, it just means Ford Edsa may not be doing its job properly!
4. We were advised to file a case, as this is clearly due to negligence.
I will be sent a full technical report of the vehicle later, and Ford San Fernando promised to help us should we pursue to file a case against Ford Edsa as this is a clear case of negligence which resulted in property damages and could have resulted in loss of lives.

This sounds good.
Looks like a catastrophic lower arm failure.
If you have complaints..better have a service ticket/request ie documentation. So theyll be liable. Word of mouth to the SA isnt enough.
