Handling wise, mas maganda ang fiesta compare sa ecosport. Since mataas ang ride height ng ecosport, meron siyang body roll and the worse part is the a/t transmission, meron pa din jerking and gear hunting ang powershift dual clutch transmission. On the positive note dahil mataas pwede na sa baha.

For ecosport owners, what made you decide to get either the trend or titanium trim? I'm trying to choose between these 2. Thanks for your inputs.

If not for the ride height and the damn good looks, i would have chosen the avanza, at least no transmission problems. So now i will be gambling my hard earned money for the ecosport hoping i do not experience the transmission problem that others had. Haays kasi naman ang toyota ayaw gumawa ng magandang design na avanza.

Because of the features. Mas madali idrive yung titanium kasi naka-auto lahat, wipers, lights, doors, and may back sensor. Ayokong magmodify and magdagdag pa ng kung anu-anong accessories so i decided to choose titanium.

    Newbie here.
Me and my wife are in search of our first new car. And we are considering Ecosport Trend MT, aside from Yaris and Rio.

These are our thoughts we are pondering on:
Why Ecosport MT? it has this "SUV" feel that my wife wants me to get, and it's ride height, and I want an MT.
Yaris 1.3 E? My wife wants to have an AT that would fit in or lower than our budget. Similar reason for Rio.

Why not Ecosport? I have read horrowing comments and reviews of ford and this unit. especially those AT units. I just thought the MT units might have the same problems.
Why not Yaris? Ride is too low, and the car is small. Wife wants to give me that tall ride.
Why not Rio? daming taxi na rio.

I know i should get a test ride on all of these cars, I want to zero-in on the Ecosport. However, I would like to ask our fellow forumers on how is the feeling of riding a MT Ecosport. How was it compared to the AT? for those who got their MT units, can you please share your experience?
    Thanks a lot!
If i recall correctly and based on what i have been reading, i havent read any negative reviews for the M/T of ecosport - or i might have just missed them haha. Also as far as i know, the trend m/t variant is cheaper than that of the 1.5G yaris (trend mt at 825k and yaris 1.5g at 845k). 😄

Same thing here. You cannot have these features all at the same time with a compact sedan or even midsize SUV's you'll get the following which you'll appreciate specially when you already had a chance to drive a european brand:
    Auto headlamps
    Rain sensing wipers
    Auto dimming rear view mirror
    Vanity mirror with lamp illumination
    One touch lane changing signals
    Speed limiter buzzer
    Sync
Keyless entry with proximity sensors, no need to look and touch the remote to open the door
Torino leather seats with red stitching
    Sunroof
    Push start stop button
Hill launch assist and hill descent control
    Traction control
    ...and many many more.

I really like the auto headlamps, auto dimming mirror, rain-sensing wipers, and the built-in back sensor. Very useful specially kapag bumabyahe ako ng gabi. Mas nakakapagconcentrate ako sa daan.

Ung pinakagusto ko ung auto dimming rear view mirror. Even some high-end cars walang ganun. Marami kasi motorist na naka-bright sa likod mo. They dont even bother.

I agree. In some cars, you have to manually tilt the angle of the rearview mirror pero halos di mo na rin makikita yung nasa likod.

I don't know how they did it with ford. Parang nagiging green yung view kapag sobrang maliwanag yung ilaw nung nasa likod.
