The updated Fiesta is expected (rumored) to make its ASEAN debut this year, but its too early to tell if it will also go on sale this year.
Based on regional news, it looks like the Fiesta-based EcoSport crossover will be the next new ASEAN Ford model to be launched in Thailand since there are already spy photos of these testing in Thailand.
One thing to remember, ASEAN Ford models usually make their debut in Thailand first (where they are manufactured) months before they are launched here. The New Focus for example was launched here about 4 months after it made its ASEAN debut in Thailand, so watch out for regional car news.Last edited by AG4; January 17th, 2013 at 05:58 AM.

In Bangkok the other engine is a 1.5 Ti-VCT engine, so far not much info on the new ASEAN Fiesta.
According to Ulysses Ang of ************, the car displayed at the Bangkok International Motor Show actually had a 1.5 Ti-VCT engine (probably the same case with the unit here?) and not the 1.0 EcoBoost, which was the reason the hood was never opened.
The 1.0 EcoBoost engine mockup (not in a car) was displayed at the Bangkok International Motor Show though.

My guess is, they'll probably launch it during the 3rd Quarter of this year or maybe early 4th Quarter at the latest (October 2013 is the 3rd anniversary of the Fiesta in the Philippines)
The ASEAN versions of the new Focus and the 2010 Fiesta both made their ASEAN debut at the Bangkok International Motor Show, production usually began mid-year, they were launched here within the 3rd Quarter and went on sale about 2 months after (late 3rd Quarter to early 4th Quarter).
I think there's a possibility that they could follow a similar timeframe.Last edited by AG4; April 10th, 2013 at 03:06 AM.
