May 20th, 2015 07:41 AM #414From ************:
Ambiente 2.2 4x2 M/T: P 1,339,000
Ambiente 2.2 4x2 A/T: P 1,399,000
Trend 2.2 4x2 A/T: P 1,539,000
Titanium 2.2 4x2 A/T: P 1,639,000
Titanium 3.2 4x4 A/T: P 1,899,000
Titanium Premium 3.2 4x4 A/T: P 1,999,000
The Titanium Premium 3.2 4x4 A/T is an optional package for the regular Titanium 3.2 4x4 A/T. The Premium package comes with these goodies:
HID projector-type headlamps with auto-leveling and headlamp washer
LED daytime running lights
8-way power adjustable passenger seat
Power Fold third-row seat
Power Liftgate
240-volt inverter
Panoramic Moonroof
Heads-up Display
Adaptive Cruise Control
Lane Keeping Aid
Collision Mitigation
Active Park Assist
For an additional P100k, the Titanium Premium Everest is the new value for money TOTL Thai SUV. Easily beats its rivals, though we may have to wait for the final specs of the upcoming Hilux and Fortuner.

[QUOTE=Louie Anson Ng;2543522]they could have done away with the power folding 3rd row seats though, ganon ba kahirap magyupi ng upuan? hahaha

Et tu, Louie? Are you also complaining about useless technology just like the guy in the Mazda thread? Hehehe.
100T price premium for the Premium variant is indeed a good value considering the gizmos that are added. This will eat up Ford Explorer sales.

May 20th, 2015 09:58 AM #416Looking at the Ambiente and Trend A/T units as replacement for our old Everest. What's worrying is the carry-over engines. Hopefully the turbocharger issues have been resolved, otherwise this is a very good buy especially since it's close to the Explorer in size already.

Will have to wait for Fortuner and Montero first then its decision time. Will let others "enjoy" the happiness and pain of having a new model first
Kidding aside this is truly the pricing trend of vehicles when new models come up they tend to go up a little higher if they really know their product will sell like hotcakes and if their model has more tech or performance goodies than the others. Who doesn't want new tech in their cars? I know I want those things in my car but for me it all boils down to reliability and re-sale value down the line. Price and tech-performance bragging rights are garbage if your car spends a lot more time getting fixed and corrected in the casa rather than being driven as it should be :evillaugh:evillaugh:evillaugh

May 20th, 2015 10:03 AM #418[quote=Walter;2543726]haha, i think push start is a useful feature though, and to be frank I like my cars to be a bit techy regardless kung useful man siya o hindi. I just think if price-wise they want to be competing with Montero and Fortuner they'll have to lower down their pricing as much as possible. But reading the article nakasulat na parang part lang siya ng premium package, I guess all the 4x2 ones will be manual folding seats? My legit concern though is the so-called handsfree navigation, since sa Explorer palang di na sila makaprovide ng maps, and since the new Everest will be using the same SYNC 2 head unit baka ganon rin ang case.

Tama lang naman ang pricing ah:
Entry Level:
Everest - 1.399M
Fortuner - 1.375M
Mid-Range:
Everest - 1.539M/1.639M
Fortuner - 1.525M
TOTL:
Everest - 1.899M
Fortuner - 1.820M
The Ford Sync and 20" rims alone already justifies the price difference. Not to mention that the Everest is the newer, bigger truck.
