*xcaliber, you can't always trust dealer reps/ sales agents, their knowledge about future products is usually based on what they are told, and if you visit Ford's FB page, they rarely give info on future models that are more than a year away. Most of the dealer reps/ sales agents are not car enthusiasts. Their number one priority is obviously to sell what's available now.
Here's an example, there were many times when I asked about an upcoming vehicle (from various brands) and the sales rep will say they don't know when or if it will be sold here.... then fast forward a few months later, they will tell me that it will be launched soon.
If you want more information, check online for regional (ASEAN/ Asia-Pacific) automotive news.Last edited by AG4; October 14th, 2013 at 03:10 PM.

I feel bad for the 2013 Everest owners but then again, to each his own.

kailan kaya talaga ilalabas to sa atin? also, baka mauna pa yung bagong fortuner designed din daw from australia. Parang mahirap yata magisip next year kung ano magandang bilhin

I agree. Sales driven talaga ang pitch ng mga sales rep. Yung kasama nga namin sa opis inassure ng sales rep na di pa lalabas ang bagong vios this year at kung sakali ay end of 2013 pa. Relying on this na at least more than a year pa yung bagong Vios redesign kaya ayun napabili siya last year ng bagong unit but lo and behold lumabas ang bagong vios ngayong gitna ng taon :boo: kaya ayun charge to experience na lang daw siya. First time na bumili ng brand new kasama namin kaya medyo masama loob dun sa sales rep. :dunno:

Lets wait and see.
If Ford decides to unveil the new Everest at the 2014 BIMS (Bangkok International Motor Show) which I think is a possibility, that means it could get here by late 2014 or early 2015.
Hopefully they do so.
*Most of the new ASEAN market vehicles are usually unveiled at Bangkok International Motor Show first before they're launched anywhere else in the region since this is the main Motor Show for our region.Last edited by AG4; October 17th, 2013 at 12:50 PM.

My guess is as good as yours. The concept has been unveiled to the public, so it's only a matter of time and a few details to iron out.
2014 it is! I am sure they wouldn't want na maunahan next year or hope na nde maunahan. Goodluck Ford!

Since the front half of the Next gen Everest is identical to the current Ranger (under the skin), most of the mechanicals have already been proven and tested in the current Ranger, this should speed up the process when ironing out bugs (if there are any)
I think the biggest mechanical difference in the chassis is the rear since it will have a coil spring rear suspension.Last edited by AG4; October 24th, 2013 at 04:45 PM.
