I prefer it to end up more like this

Ford development team sourced a chassis cab unit (like this) from their production line ....



and welded a Ford Territory rear end to it.



The result is this:



It is a test mule. Or something to serve to as a test and evaluation platform for parts that will be used in the actual production unit in the future.

I believe the test mule is using the actual chassis of the all-new Everest, since it has its own wheelbase length which is shorter than the ones used by the chassis cab or crewcab/ double cab Ranger.


There might also be a possibility that it will have a coil spring rear suspension (notice the Everest mule has camo blocking the view of the rear suspension/axle area)

Give it a few months and we'll probably see the actual all-new Everest body with camo on it.

A lot of potential to challenge the leaders in the pick-up based SUV market. If the new Ranger is an indication, we should see exceptional upgrade too for the Everest.
