Got my White Explorer from Alabang yesterday evening (2nd Dec)...after countless sleepless nights.

Went up to Baguio this morning with my new ride. Its a great CUV! Hit 200km/hr in just a few sec.. no sweat! Its an eye turner indeed knowing that you can count by your fingers how many units are on the road in the Phils at this time.

Filled up the tank from Alabang (70liters) by the time I arrived Camp John Hay at Km330++ my fuel level is a hireline up in the middle. Hence, comparable to the consumption of my 3.8l Genesis Coupe.

I love the moment when a CX9 was chasing me but to no avail, after seeing something he has probably not seen before, he slowed down (napahiya). We parted ways na sa Urdaneta not able to overtake me.

The cruise control works perfectly, you can do adjustment on speed by +/- 2km/hr. All the controls on the steering, radio, aircon are outstanding!

One thing I noticed, walang stepboard, so everytime I go down from the car, halos mapunit ang underwear ko.. I guess this car is built for big people.

Ang yabang ng back powerlift.. make sure there are people watching your car first before you press the key to open the back. Car has auto start system by pressing once the lock key and twice the start engine button twice (do it while the key are inside your pocket).

Bottom line, if you are on line waiting for the unit, I strongly suggest you stay on and stick on it. Have seen the Pajero, CX9 and the Sorrento a week after the release thought of dropping my reservation.. but the specs of the explorer is not really comparable to these 3 SUVs.. good thing I hang on... now I have my BIG WHITE EXPLORER!!!

Computing your FC, sounds like it's run at 9.4km/ltr. Tama po ba? If such is the case, i'm amaze & really can't wait for my reservation to arrive.

I can't really remember the capacity of the Explorer's fuel tank but based on my usage, I think it could do with a bigger fuel tank. Fuel consumption of ours is around 22L/100kms mostly city driving since we got our unit.
With a light foot and moderate to light traffic I was able to do around 16L/100kms
