March 1st, 2011 08:31 PM #11hmm dalawa ba ang thread for the ranger 2012??
ganda ng color! chili orange kaya yan? bagay katabi ng fiesta namin ah! haha
i dont like the bumper overrider though...
and just a thought:
if the ranger is 90% the size of a F150, does it mean that the new everest is 90% the size of an Expedition?!? WOW
:D

March 2nd, 2011 06:58 PM #17everest pa rin kalaban ng fort at ms. its the fort and ms that has to be bigger if they want to keep up haha
ofcourse all these are just speculations, following the logic that ranger is 90% of f150 then the everest should be 90% of the expedition.
to say that they have to design a new model to compete with the ms and fort is like saying they now have to design a new pickup to compete with the hilux and navaras because the ranger is now bigger than everyone else in its class. para san pa ung bagong ranger.

All-new Explorer
They are not in the same segment, the new Explorer (mainly developed for the US, but will be exported) is a refined Crossover SUV while the Everest (mainly for the Asia-Pacific markets) is a rugged SUV.
They already sell both the Everest and outgoing US-made Explorer here.
PS: Another pic of the new Wildtrak.

The Explorer is now a crossover and it will still exist in the US market (lakas benta ng Explorer sa US, 3rd best selling Ford after the F-150 and the Fusion) cause the Ranger will not exist in the US market and in essence the new Everest won't exist in the US market as well...

The market for rugged SUVs in the US is shrinking too...
The 1st gen Explorer (The one in the original Jurassic Park movie) was closely related to the USDM Ranger. So it was kinda like the Everest... then it got softer later on.
But I believe both the next gen Everest and the all-new Explorer will be sold here side by side if things push through.Last edited by AG4; March 2nd, 2011 at 07:43 PM.
