I remember back in the 90s when the meat filling of shawarma was still sliced off the rotisserie and wrapped in the bread. Nowadays its all ground up and chopped like sisig.

the sliced version was ... yummier.

When I was working night shift sa QC meron shawarma restaurant we go to ng madaling araw sa Fairview. Madaling araw maraming sasakyan naka Park sa labas, Street parking.

I think the name is Try Mo Shawarma Co. It's been years since I last went there.

Nung nagbukas yung Turks sa harap ng ABS-CBN, I haven't heard of them yet so I was surprised sa napakahabang pila for the first few days.

Tri Mo is still there. Two branches in Lagro Subdivision, but scaled down operations to take-outs only.

Trimo is good but not worth driving to Fairview for.

Nearer to me are several branches of Uncle Moe’s - very good value and tastes great for the price.

back when traffic wasn't that bad, we would make dayo.
we would drive from manila to UP diliman, to dine at that house cum restoran behind the infirmary. it has since closed down.
there's also choclit house in alumni center, that we would patronize. not sure if it's still there.

    sigh.
    OT.
