This is all that was left of a Ferrari sports car after it exploded into a fireball on a busy road in Southampton yesterday afternoon.
Traffic slowed to a crawl on Bassett Green Road in Bassett, and drivers felt the heat of the blaze through their windows and saw black smoke billowing into the air.
No one was in the luxury vehicle, thought to be a Ferrari 360 estimated to be worth more than £100,000, when it burst into flames.
Eyewitness Ben Gillam said: "At first I saw small wisps of smoke and then, as I got closer, it turned into...

Ferrari’s latest model, the 599 is susceptible to getting a little hot under the collar. A 599 recently caught on fire during its first drive from a dealer in Germany, near Dresden. The driver escaped uninjured and has understandably been offered a replacement vehicle from Ferrari.

The owner is a friend of my boss. Mahilig talaga ang family nila sa supercars (they also own a bugatti - tama ba spelling?). According to my boss, the car will be replaced under warranty.
I don't actually mind you guys thinking of funny stories re what you think transpired and caused the incident but maybe a little "pakikiramay" isn't bad at all. If it happens to my cheap jap car, malamang iiyak ako, pano pa kaya sa Ferrari nung owner. --IMO
I didnt ask much but I'm also thinking of faulty engineering on Ferraris' part.
