Let's face it. It keeps getting repeated to us how they are impractical and all yet if we had all the money in the world there is no denying that we would want one. Or is there?
Also all you need to do is check the cool car sighting thread and you will see how many drool over one. Yet, if our head were to rule we would opt against it.
It would be hard to imagine a world without them. So imagine you had no obligations and landed a huge inheritance would you ever consider one?
Why would you consider for? or against?

January 25th, 2007 06:48 PM #2Ask Villarica, Zobel de Ayala, Aguirre.. Then they will ask you along the lines of: "are you selling yours? let me get it". Pero advice ni Henry Sy and Colayco, save your money na lang. How much is Ferrari, 50M. How many BMs na un? Around 20+, Mazda, 40+.
If I have around 50M, cash, spoiling in the bank, am gonna do something else than buy an exotic. Why? We can earn that amount naman in one year (if you have 50M). How? Invest sa lupa, patayo ng building. After the first year na gawin mo yan dami mo ng auto then you have an option pa for the exotic. I know someone in Batangas, hundred plus hectares worth 400M. =)
At the end of the day wala namang worry sa carnap. Kidnap lang. Pero if may escort ka mas masarap.
How about you bro?

If I was filthy rich, sure. Why not? Plus if I was that rich, I'd probably be immune to outcries of gas guzzler. I'd show my best "kapal ng mukha". I'd probably ruin it trying to learn one of those Saudi drifts*. If I do wreck it, I'd get out, buy another one like I'm buying candy from a sari-sari store.

Magrerent na lang siguro ako. I still wouldn't want to live with one.

January 25th, 2007 07:44 PM #7Maybe if I were a filthy rich twentysomething looking to attract lots of moths to the flame.
Otherwise, nah. Too tempting. Not responsible enough. And just plain too much. Maybe rent pa -- kung sakaling ma-mid-life crisis (haha. Sana naman huwag).
Shucks. I wouldn't even go for a Benz or a beamer, yun pa.
It doesn't mean I don't dream of it or even that impossible siya mabili financially. It just doesn't make too much sense when you're ready to write the check -- parang masyado ng iiral ang paghahabol ng status at porma over practical concerns.

probably not, its not my style. there are a lot of far more better things to buy with 50M than a car. well thats just me of course.
