it actually depends on what one wishes to convey.
there are nice lines, and there are much nicer lines.
i am sure, you yourself can find such nicer lines, if you are incliined.
everyone smiling mildly and apparently enjoying, and wearing the right clothes in yon image, with artfully-arranged food table, are already a huge step in the nice direction.
i mean, i wouldn't mind, appearing in one of them here.

once upon a time a restaurateur was watching people line up at a soup kitchen and thought "hey i can do that... i'll make customers get their own food and save money with less staff"

    hehe

Hindi rin. That's what my officemates usually do for me pag may kainan sa office. I prefer lang talaga yung the food is in front of me or served like full course or degustation etc. Ganda pa plating. Hehe.

Ayaw pa rin kahit nasa hotel ka pa naka gown. I PREFER sit down meals. Pero there are times I wanna pig out and buffet

Pero natatawa ako sa ibang pinoy na disappointed pag hindi buffet sa wedding, ako I prefer sit down naman sa wedding. Hirap kaya kumuha food naka gown

i also prefer waiter-ed service. it's more orderly, and less work for the diners.
less buffeting with the elbows, shoes stay shiny longer (ulp! that's the last time shoes get mentioned here, right!), no more overfilled or underfilled plates, and everyone gets the same selection.
minsan kasi, there are more in-demand foods than others. hindi na-aanggihan ang iba.
    and no spilled liquids!!!

BTT: So my friend He huang asked me sino kasama ko kagabi sa restaurants. I said the guy's name e kilala niya yun. Sabi sakin he only made libre to show off and he is abnormal for spending almost P10k on food for a night. May mga kilala daw siyang well off that would never spend that much. I beg to disagree.

it is easy to be galante,
    if one has the mindset,
and one knows for a fact, that he can truthfully afford it.

Galit na galit e HAHAHA. I would like to think na friend ko siya at dapat hindi siya mainggit and be happy that I enjoyed last night

Buti nga di ko pa na kwento na same guy nilibre ako sa Wolfgang e di lalo nag up in arms siya
