ha ha....adjustment on the a/f mixture was almost correct but not quite.

after the 1st test, my dad asked our tech. to bring back the vehicles to the PETC and ask how can we let the vehicles pass. Without any hesitation, the MVECT [PETC technician] asked our tech. to bring the vehicles at the backside of the testing center.

another man came following them with a long flat screw driver and a small barbecue stick. and this is what he did:

    1. Screw IN full adjustment of air screw.
    2. Screw IN full adjustment of idling with a stick still pushing it in, making the engine idle at around 1,500 to 2,000 rpm

after that, the test and what do you know, scores to die for. and that without any parts changed nor any engine modifications or tune up.

and all the while I thought the PETC will be an angel for a cleaner air.

..... so in effect, we are just fooling ourselves about this so called "cleas air act." the best is to be able to REGULARLY and STRICTLY randomly check all these buses, jeepneys, 2-stroke tricycles, and other vehicles. WALA DAPAT LAGAYAN!

I-aadjust nila para pumasa ka then after the test babalik ka sa kanila to return your engine to its former state.

sir its easy to point fingers...pero if you read all the post in this thread you would be amazed kung ilan ang nag-iisip na DAYA or AREGLO na solution instead of having their cars properly conditioned (nakakalamang sila).

    just my 2 cents. peace!
