Sir, I am the owner of Devilsown Alcohol injection, the filter thing is more of a hobby, I am also still active duty U.S Navy until I retire next year. But I would be happy to provide you with the filter number for that engine.

I do have a bunch of filters I will ship when I do retire late next year but that's a long time away, Like late June of Next year when I move to the Philippines for good.

You can use a Fleetguard LF3830 or LF3564 or Baldwin BD28 WIX is also a good brand ant it's a 51067

BPV Setting 100 kPa (14.5 PSI)
Largest OD 110 mm (4.331 in)
Overall Height 138 mm (5.433 in)
    Thread Size M26 X 1.5-6H INT

You can find these fairly easy especially the WIX but they are not cheap. I'll pick up a few cases between now and next year I'm sure. These are just hard to find nothing really uses this thread size.

Do a search and you will find plenty around most under 20USD. If you have someone visiting the states have them pick you up a few. Even I don't have any, and I got like 500 filters in my storage.

Baldwin shop is Volmax - I don't have their number right now. I'll give it out on Monday. The shop is on s padilla in Manila.

Wix filters on the other hand is sold Superior Motors 3741737. It is near Quezon Ave.

from what I have researched these are the two consistent high quality filters even in the US

Wix is a excellent brand, actually one of the better over the counter filters. Just make sure it's the real deal.

WIX Box should look like this. and if it does not say WIX Corporation, Gastonia N. C. made in USA on the back it's not the real deal.

The other countries of production will be these. If no country of origin then it's not the real deal.

    Mexico
    Ukraine
    Venezuela
    Brazil
    Poland

If they come in a plain white box with a Wix label stuck on, are white in color and they come in shrink warp plastic. They have the Wix part number stenciled in blue on the filter it's not the real deal.

    Two style boxes

As you can see they are high quality filter, I got a bunch myself, If I see them on sale I pick them up.

That's a pretty low price for a imported Baldwin, If it's a real on then it's a good deal.

Let us know if you get one and if it's the real deal. It should be a Baldwin BD28.

sir Dvldoc, quick question lang sir..

is the Baldwin BD28 suitable for both 4m41 and the 4d56?

because the OEM mitsu filters for both 4m41 and 4d56 not only has a difference in part number but also in size...the 4m41 being bigger....

does it mean that the baldwin bd28 has a universal fit?

The 4M41(OEM ME013307) filter would be the BD7028 also a combo filter and dual flow.

So to answer your question yes you can use it. Here's the thing with oil filters you can go bigger or smaller as long as you have space 1 or 2 inches will not make a bit of difference in most vehicles. It all depends on the space you have to work with different manufactures have different sizes for the same filter.

The portant part to get right is the thread size, filter type, and by-pass valve.

The BD28 is used for all those engines. The BD28 is physically a little smaller by very little.
