sa trooper, the injectors just get clogged, thru time, u feel ur engine getting weaker and stalls sometimes until it just doesn't want to start or just dies on you while running, for me ayaw na magstart. a couple of my friends, namatayan, had to get their troopers towed pa. sa mga hi end vehicles like x5, siguro mamatay o maaffected pa yung ibang parts. sama talaga diesel natin dito,

KCboy, so how do get it fixed? does it entail injector replacement or could it be cleaned and recalibrated later? did you follow maintenance schedule of filter replacement religiously? how about in the other threads i've heard of suggesting doubling the filter - do you think it would work?. tnx for sharing info.

ang trick dyan e nasa filtration......have an extra fuel filter installed and regularly check it. and go to one regular gas station when filling up.

hmm.. ano kaya ang plano ng mga dealers here.. 2 years is within the warranty period pa ah.. tapos ganyan ang mangyayari... if and when this behavior exhibits itself after the warranty period.. may lusot na sila.. pero pag within... problem nila to..

considering na ang lakas ng benta ng innova at napakarami ay diesel ang kinukuha... ano kaya ang plano at strategy ng toyota about this issue?

24000kms nun when it first exhibited the symptoms, may ginawa p asila nun para gumanda but after a few months, bumalik ulit at wala na daw sa warranty so i had to pay 47000 p to replace the injectors, u can double the filters but it would just delay the inevitable, screwed up injectors. disposable daw yun so once its clogged, palit na.

i remember once a mechanic in san juan told me that if you're running a CRDi vehicle, you should stick to one particular brand of diesel, I forget which one if it's Total or Shell.

My dad is running a European vehicle with a hi-performance diesel...he's using two fuel filters and monitoring those two filters on a regular basis. Though, he claims the sound of the engine has changed a bit since he bought the car. Km reading is above the indicated 24000 expected lifespan mentioned here.

    al motor,
what car are you talking about so i would know? crdi ba? not all people have the knowledge n capabilities to take the extra steps you've mentioned above. my point is sir is that most crdi engines will fail and cannot take the dirty diesels that we have po. i just hope the government and the big 3 oil companies take steps in refining much cleaner diesels.

    kcboy:

question, what is the percentage that the fuel injector of crdi cars will break? is it 80%? because if the percentage is quite big, then that's really a problem.
